When she gets to six grade, her “locker buddy” Amanda squishes her lunch everyday. Starred Review, Publishers WeeklyJune 6, But at 12, that is harder. During the summer I read a couple books a day and spent hours swimming and playing outside at our local pool or beach. I just finished re-reading it for like the hundredth time and it currently is my favorite book! Elise’s parents have been dead for a long time; her mother from giving birth to Elise, her father from cancer not laflleur long after that.
And I shall free my fellow knight from your possession! I’d get it if she feared Amanda, but she doesn’t. Eight Keys is a truly beautiful book.

She stands up to the bully, develops a new friendship and salvages the old one. Elise is too self-aware when she questions her new habit of calling Franklin names: I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read.

Eight Keys Summary & Study Guide
I think this book was well written but was a little boring sometimes. I like to warm up for writing by playing computer games. I twisted to take another hit at Franklin, but my front foot slipped, and I fell. Eigth should be their safety and in this book it was Elise and Franklin against the mean girl.
It was written very well and also written in good detail. I climbed out of bed and decided that the tank top I’d slept in would do for the day, too, so I found my shorts on the floor and pulled them on.
He looked funny, swinging his sword and yelling at things that weren’t really there. The changes in Elise’s relationship with Franklin rang true for the children, and I think the author did a good job of describing the concerns kids have with feeling like they belong.
Elise, our main character, is far from perfect but the reader cannot help but empathise and encourage her throughout her character development. The biggest lesson she learns is finding the way to her own path and the type of person she wants to become.

Elise was a brat, just like the author meant her to be. Summary Elise and Franklin have always been best friends. When the novel begins, Elise lives with her Aunt Bessie and her Uncle Hugh, because her own parents have long been dead. Feb 04, Eva rated it liked it. The clock said it was nine, but it was still very dark in my room. Thinking about having my 4th graders read this book.
Still, a book I’d recommend to my students. She also has her dad’s best friend that she leans on as well.
Books by Suzanne LaFleur. I think I would’ve enjoyed it a little better about three years ago. I felt Franklin was underdeveloped because it was hard to imagine that he was unaware of what people thought of him or how he didn’t care or have any of the insecurities Elise felt.
We took off, slowly at first, until Franklin yelled, “Ghost suzannne, behind you! It is very well written and it had a little suspense in it. Her classmate and best friend, Franklin is there for Elise every step of the way. The older kids who had gone off to middle school before us were clumped lafler a few yards away, talking and laughing and ignoring us. A key that unlocks one of zuzanne eight doors upstairs in the barn The plot was really well worked out.
