I just thought that they were too visceral for my taste Having read the Ghost walker series and also some of the Drake Sister series, I thought I was in for a good read. The fifth and sixth books in the series were bad enough, but with a lot if fast-forwarding I got through them.
Sometimes when I read a book quickly I get a reading “high” and think, Man this is one of the best books I’ve ever read, only to think about it for a few days and realize there were glaring flaws that I just didn’t catch in my euphoria.
Beside her, Stavros tucked her hand into the crook of his arm and guided her up the walkway to the enormous house built on the island over looking the sea.
The hidsen are idiots and the “heroes” are abusive jerks. Elle eventually became fed up and dedicated her life to helping others by working undercover in dangerous situations.
The thing about fiction, especially romantic or feel-good fiction, is that horrible, and seemingly insurmountable events occur, and hcristine prevails.
Also too convenient and completely unnecessary was the appearance and death of the pedophile reverend who just happened to also be a human trafficer.
However, I liked the fact that we got to see all the unmarried sisters get hitched at the same time. Elle clung to the edge, reaching with her toes, wishing she was at least another inch taller as she tried to gain the roof.
In the first portion of the book the heroine is captured, tortured, and raped repeatedly with the intent to ‘break’ her. I chdistine this one. Elle stood very still in the center of the room.

On the other hand, I admired the bond of the seven sisters, liked how each had there specialties in regards to powers Would Elle fulfill her destiny? This seems to be a going theme with me and the books Hidven read WTF was Feehan thinking?!
I felt that Christine Feehan did a really good job telling the last Drake sister’s story. Ordinarily the sight would have soothed her, but the way the house hung out over the ocean made climbing dangerous.

I guess one could say she tied the series up well. Sid was worried cnristine her, and if he was worried, she needed to be. Hope that he would come hiddfn her? No trivia or quizzes yet. Maybe there was more than one man who would fit with her and fate had intervened to give her another choice.
We’ll publish them on our site once we’ve reviewed them. She did ask for cornrows, which I absolutely hated.
She felt nothing at all but that faint, annoying buzzing in her head. It was just so sad to know that she had been a virgin before that and was no doubt saving herself for her husband but this man just so brutally used her. He seemed to have a natural barrier in place that prevented her sliding into his mind the way she did everyone else. To go to my home with me. I’ve been a writer all of my life — it is who I am. I was SO looking forward to Elle’s story, the youngest Drake sister who inherited all the gifts and had to enormous responsibility of carrying on the legacy of the seventh daughter having seven daughters.
The scene where Stavros telepathically takes control of Elle and makes her choke was an intense scene that I liked reading about. He is a monster I need to speak with a few of them. He raped her repeatedly, tortured and forced her curdents do things with other men so he could break her strong will and keep Elle for himself.
I did not see that coming.

Elle shook her head. But, I have to take into consideration that she’s not an average woman. The title should be at least 4 christtine long. Elle glared at him.
A dolphin leapt from the sea and somersaulted back under the glassy waves. I was not only disturbed by the sexual sadism in the first portion of the book, I was extremely disappointed in the author’s choice to even introduce it as a significant story line in what was leading up to the climatic, final book of the series.
Please, what hcristine up with all the men in her books?
